I am interested in Unpermanence and extremely large scale process installations that are taken down as soon as they are finished. The image underneath is from an unnamed installation built in Närsäkkälä, Finland, it was photographed on 120 colour film and taken down. Maybe in the uneasiness of colours is an example of this process. The installation Unpermanence was made in 2014, in 2017 this forest pictured was cut down in order to use the wood for building a house, taking further the idea of impermanence and coming to an end yet in a way where the materials and energies are transformed. From this emerged the idea of replanting the forest which has resulted in Sonic Independence, it is taking place on this very spot.
