BIOG.
Moving around and living from country to country since birth influenced my life immensely, in my art you notice it as a inability to concentrate on materials. As if that focus on matterial were itself a stance towards a national identity, I feel the need to first reject it and then analyse this rejection personally. My obsession in images and the fixtures of the eye in chemical colours is profound, even spiritual. A language I picked up from my missionary parents whose leitmotif shows up in the religious byzantine iconography I see through manga. I was once obsessed with Go and rock climbing, that space is now occupied with the desire to influence social constructs through myth and health.
